Debra is a licensed designer, blogger and social media co-ordinator. Her design work has a signature stylish charm showcased in hundreds of published articles, several books and two lines of baby quilting fabric. Her creativity extends to home décor, event planning and culinary delights in the family’s heritage five star B & B Quartermain House on the east coast of Canada. She lives everyday making, celebrating and sharing the heart, home and holidays.

Debra's clients like the Kunin Felt  rely on her expertise to manage their Design Team, provide relevant and solid design and content for online platforms and marketing requirements. Dependability, punctuality and attention to detail along with an independent skill set and strong work ethic are some of Debra's qualities. Debra served as Chair of the Designer Section of the AFCI Association For Creative Industries 2017-18 and Chair Emeritus 2018-19. Locally Debra is involved with Women and Business and the Doris E. Sullivan IODE Chapter.

Owning a world renown 5 star B&B Quartermain House (Ranked #1 in North America by a Booking.com competition in  2014, 2015) Debra knows how to anticipate her guests needs and provide excellent service.

Debra's life revolves around the one hundred and seventy five year old family home along the river in the picturesque city of Fredericton, NB. B&B guests visit from all over the world plus the B&B hosts, small weddings, tea parties, showers and holiday parties. Family come home to stay throughout the year and everyone enjoys being together by the fire in the Library.  Baking breakfast delights or creating magical decor Debra brings the same ingredients to whatever she does; love, joy and enthusiasm.

Quartermain House also hosts several charity events every year and has had as many as five hundred tour the house during the holidays. Giving back, creating magical moments to make a difference and to make special memories for someone, like the Cinderella Ball for a sweet young girl about to undergo a kidney transplant. Her dream was to walk down a grand staircase as Cinderella, she had her wish and the cameras flashed as she glided down the stairs.

Whether in her kitchen or studio Debra's love is never more evident than the love she shares with her eleven grandlittles, five boys and six girls from babies to teens. The house hosts an Fairy tale attic play space for the girls and a "cabin" retreat for the boys. Crafting and creating, birthday parties and holiday gatherings all are served up with love.

Married to a darling man who on every trip away manages to find a beautiful creative way to express his love like a long stem rose heart on the floor and has an easy going delightful charm, life is indeed like a fairy tale. Their home is often referred to as the Fairy Tale house with a front porch decorated for every season.

As a single Mum for twenty years with two amazing daughters, Debra always believed "Life is simply a Love Story" and indeed it is. Live with a young heart, a generous spirit and immense gratitude, never lose your sense of wonder, joy and magic!
